We believe in the one true God, revealed in the Scriptures as a just and loving Creator who exists eternally in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God desires a personal relationship with all people, and He sent His Son Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, to redeem humanity from their sin by means of His death, and His resurrection, establishing Him as the exalted King and the only way to salvation.

The membership of the Oxon Hill Church of Christ is composed of individuals who are baptized believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and are actively pursuing and continuing in an everlasting fellowship with the Lord, Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit, God Himself, dwells within believers to transform them into Christ’s likeness, empowering them for godly living, and guiding them according to His will. We affirm that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and is comprised of God’s infallible word, and is His perfect authority for our faith and conduct, calling us to obedience of His Word. All have sinned and are separated from God, but through God’s grace and our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are redeemed by faith, evidenced by a life of obedience. We believe in baptism by immersion which symbolizes that we die to sin, which washes away our sins and then being raised to walk in newness of life in Christ. We believe that baptism marks the essential step of our public entry into a saving relationship with Jesus.
